Possible Causes
Loose rack supports, Cabinet screws not tight, Drip pan or wood box vibrating against metal, Smoker not level causing resonance
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Let the smoker cool before tightening screws or adjusting internal parts.
Steps:
- Check racks and pans: Ensure all racks are fully seated in their supports and the drip pan and wood box are properly positioned.
- Tighten hardware: Use a screwdriver to snug all accessible cabinet screws, especially on side panels, back panel, and door hinges.
- Level the smoker: Adjust the legs or place shims under the cabinet so it sits solidly without rocking.
- Isolate contact points: If a specific panel or accessory vibrates, place a small piece of high-temp silicone or gasket material between contact points to dampen noise.
