Smoker will not power on at all (no lights, no display)

• Verify outlet: Plug a lamp or other small appliance into the same outlet to confirm it has power. Reset the breaker or GFCI if needed.
• Inspect power cord: Check the entire length of the cord for cuts, burns, or crushed sections. Replace the cord if damaged.
• Check main switch: If your Smokin-It model has a rocker or toggle power switch, ensure it clicks positively and is not loose. Test continuity across the switch terminals when ON; replace if open.
• Internal fuse: Remove the control box cover and look for an inline fuse or board-mounted fuse. If blown, determine the cause (shorted element, wiring fault) before replacing with the same type and rating.
• Board inspection: Look for burnt components or broken solder joints on the control board that could interrupt power.

When to call for service: If fuses continue to blow or you find evidence of a short you cannot locate, have a qualified technician inspect the smoker to prevent fire or shock hazards.
