Buttons on the digital control panel do not respond or respond intermittently.

Safety: Unplug the smoker before working on the control panel.

Steps:

• Inspect the keypad surface for cracks, bubbling, or grease intrusion. Clean gently with a damp cloth; do not soak.
• Remove the control panel and reseat the keypad ribbon cable on the control board.
• If specific buttons never work while others do, the membrane keypad is likely worn out. Replace the keypad or entire front control assembly.
• Ensure the new keypad is sealed properly to prevent future moisture entry.

Tip: Avoid pressing buttons with sharp objects; this shortens keypad life.
