Possible Causes
Temperature sensor poorly located or loose, Thermostat sensing bulb out of position, Control board hysteresis issue, Excessive door opening
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Use caution around hot surfaces when observing operation.
Steps:
- Verify the temperature sensor probe or thermostat sensing bulb is firmly mounted in its bracket and not touching the heating element or cold wall.
- Ensure the sensing bulb is positioned as originally installed (usually mid‑height in the cabinet).
- Check for loose connections at the sensor terminals on the control board.
- Minimize door openings during cooking; each opening forces the control to react to rapid temperature changes.
- If cycling remains extreme and sensor placement is correct, the control board's temperature algorithm may be faulty and the board should be replaced.
