Possible Causes
Tripped household breaker, Faulty power cord, Failed on/off rocker switch, Blown internal fuse on control board
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Before opening the smoker, unplug it and verify the outlet is not live with a tester.
Steps:
- Check the household breaker or GFCI outlet and reset if tripped. If it trips again immediately, stop and have the circuit inspected.
- Test the outlet with another appliance to confirm power is present.
- Inspect the smoker's power cord for cuts, crushed sections, or burn marks. Replace the cord if damaged.
- On models with a separate on/off rocker switch, verify it clicks positively. Access the switch from the front or side panel and test continuity with a meter; replace if open.
- Remove the access panel and look for an internal fuse near the control board. Replace only with the same type and rating if blown.
Warning: If the new fuse blows immediately or you see signs of arcing or melted wiring, discontinue use and contact a technician.
