Charger’s connector will not latch properly into the vehicle inlet or is difficult to insert/remove.

Note: A secure latch is required for safe charging.

• Inspect latch: Examine the connector latch for broken springs, bent parts, or debris. Clean with a soft brush if necessary.
• Check vehicle inlet: Look for obstructions or damage in the vehicle’s inlet latch area.
• Relieve strain: Ensure the cable is not pulling sideways on the connector when plugged in; use a cable support if needed.
• Lubrication: If allowed by ABB and vehicle manufacturer, apply a very small amount of plastic-safe dry lubricant to the latch mechanism.
• Replace connector: If the latch is worn or broken, replace the entire cable and connector assembly.
