ABL Excessive Electrical Noise / Vibration

ABL charger hums or buzzes loudly during charging, louder than normal transformer or contactor noise.

Possible Causes

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Steps:

Compare noise level with another similar ABL charger if possible to judge what is normal.
Ensure the charger housing is firmly mounted to the wall and all cover screws are tight.
Have a technician open the unit (power OFF) and check that the contactor and inductive components are securely fastened.
If noise is accompanied by overheating or tripping, have the supply and load checked for overcurrent or imbalance.

Persistent abnormal noise may require replacement of the contactor or power module.
