Possible Causes
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Danger: A missing or defective earth connection is hazardous. Do not bypass or ignore E04.
Steps for a qualified person:
- Turn OFF power: Open the upstream breaker and verify absence of voltage.
- Check supply wiring: In the upstream distribution board, verify that the PE conductor is correctly connected and continuous back to the main earth bar.
- Inspect PE terminal in charger: Remove the ABL charger cover and confirm that the green/yellow PE conductor is firmly clamped in the earth terminal and that the terminal is tight to the chassis.
- Measure earth continuity: Using an appropriate tester, measure continuity between the ABL chassis and the main earth bar. High resistance indicates a wiring fault that must be corrected.
- Reassemble and test: After correcting any wiring issues, restore power and check if E04 clears.
If E04 persists: The internal PE monitoring circuit on the ABL main control board may be defective. Replacement of the control board should be carried out by an authorized ABL service technician.
