• Step 3 – Verify configuration: A qualified installer should confirm that the charger’s earthing mode is correctly set for the site’s earthing system.
• Step 4 – Inspect neutral/earth connections: An electrician should check the main earth bar, neutral bar, and any PEN fault devices for loose or damaged conductors.
• Step 5 – Test PEN detection: If the supply is confirmed healthy, but E017 persists, the PEN detection circuit in the charger may be faulty.
• When to call a technician: Always involve a licensed electrician and, if needed, the network operator. Charger PCB replacement may be required.
