Possible Causes
Welded or stuck main power contactor, Open coil on internal power relay, Loose high‑current wiring to contactor, Faulty contactor driver circuit on main control board
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Warning: The contactor carries mains voltage and high current. Do not open the charger housing unless you are a qualified electrician.
- Reset the unit: Turn off the dedicated circuit breaker or isolator feeding the Amperfied charger for at least 5 minutes, then turn it back on. Attempt a new charging session.
- Listen for contactor operation: When you start a charge, you should hear a distinct click from inside the wallbox. No click or a rapid chattering sound suggests a contactor or driver fault.
- Check supply wiring (externally): Verify that the wallbox supply breaker is fully on and that any upstream RCD/RCBO has not tripped. Reset if necessary.
- If E02 remains: A welded or failed contactor or its driver circuit is likely. The charger must be opened, the contactor tested for coil resistance and contact welding, and replaced if defective. This should only be done by an Amperfied‑approved technician.
