Possible Causes
Recent grid overvoltage or surge event, Damaged surge protection device (SPD) inside charger, Faulty overvoltage detection circuit on control board
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: After a surge event, internal components may be compromised. Do not attempt to bypass surge protection.
- Inspect upstream protection: Check if any whole‑house surge protectors or breakers have tripped and reset them if appropriate.
- Power‑cycle the charger: Turn off the wallbox at the breaker for 5 minutes, then restore power and see if E07 clears.
- Check for visible damage: Without opening the sealed electronics, look for burn marks or melted plastic on the housing or cable entry. If present, disconnect power and call a technician immediately.
- Technician inspection: A qualified technician should open the unit, inspect the internal SPD module and associated fuses, and test the overvoltage detection circuit. Replace the SPD module if it has operated or shows damage.
