How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: This is a supply wiring issue. Turn off the charger circuit at the consumer unit and do not attempt to charge until corrected. Only a qualified electrician should work on this.
User checks:
- Confirm no other work has recently been done on your consumer unit or charger wiring. If so, inform the installer that the charger now shows E03.
- Power cycle the charger once (OFF for 60 seconds, then ON) to rule out a transient detection error.
For a qualified electrician:
- Isolate the circuit and verify dead using approved test equipment.
- Open the Andersen backplate and confirm correct L, N, and E connections at the terminal block according to Andersen wiring diagram.
- Check tightness and integrity of the neutral conductor and continuity back to the consumer unit.
- Verify polarity and presence of neutral at the supply end.
- If wiring is correct and E03 persists, test the neutral sensing circuit on the main control PCB and replace the PCB if faulty.
Do not operate the charger with incorrect polarity or missing neutral; this can damage the unit and create a shock hazard.
