Possible Causes
Blocked ventilation around Andersen enclosure, High ambient temperature and direct sun on front cover, Failing internal cooling path or thermal pads, Faulty temperature sensor on main control PCB
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Overheating can damage internal components. Allow the unit to cool before further use.
User actions:
- Check that the Andersen charger is not covered or obstructed (no boxes, foliage, or debris blocking vents or surrounding area).
- If installed in direct sunlight, note if E09 occurs only on hot days. Consider shading the unit (without blocking airflow).
- Stop charging and allow at least 30–60 minutes for the unit to cool, then try again.
- Use the app to reduce maximum current (e.g. from 32A to 16–20A) and see if the error stops occurring.
If E09 occurs at normal temperatures or low load:
- The internal temperature sensor or thermal interface may be faulty.
- A technician should open the unit, check for dust buildup, verify tight mounting of heat‑generating components to the backplate, and test the temperature sensor on the main control PCB.
- Replace the main control PCB or sensor assembly if readings are incorrect.
