Possible Causes
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Critical safety warning: A PEN/PME fault can expose live parts and create dangerous touch voltages. Do not use the charger. Turn off the circuit at the consumer unit and do not reset until inspected.
User actions:
- Isolate the charger by switching OFF its breaker/RCBO.
- Check if other circuits in the property are affected (lights dimming, other RCDs tripping) and report this to your electrician or DNO.
For a qualified electrician:
- Verify supply earthing arrangement and continuity of PEN conductor if applicable.
- Measure voltage between line, neutral, and earth at the Andersen supply point.
- Confirm correct configuration of earthing type in the Andersen commissioning settings.
- If supply is sound, test the PEN/PME monitoring circuit on the main control PCB and replace the PCB if faulty.
