Possible Causes
Overheating causing silent derating and shutdown, Loose supply connection causing voltage dips, Marginal contactor or relay dropping out under load, Unstable Wi-Fi or backend commands stopping charging
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: If you notice heat or burning smell, stop using the charger and disconnect power.
- Monitor temperature: Feel the charger housing during operation (without opening it). It should be warm but not excessively hot. Ensure vents are clear and ambient temperature is within spec.
- Check supply stability: An electrician can monitor line voltage during charging. Significant dips may cause the charger to stop; correct loose connections or undersized wiring.
- Disable smart features temporarily: Turn off scheduled charging, load management, and remote stop features in the app to rule out software-initiated stops.
- Inspect internal connections: With power off, a technician should check tightness of supply and load terminals, and inspect the contactor for signs of wear or overheating. Replace the contactor or main board if dropouts are traced to these components.
Document when interruptions occur (time, temperature, load) to help technicians diagnose the root cause.
