Possible Causes
Weak 5 V/3.3 V supply to HMI board, Failing LED driver on display board, Loose ribbon cable, Overheating of front panel electronics
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn off power before removing the front cover.
- Check ambient temperature: Ensure the charger is not exposed to direct sunlight or high heat that could affect the display.
- Reseat connectors: With power off, reseat the ribbon cable between the main board and the HMI/display board.
- Measure HMI voltage: A technician can verify that the correct low-voltage supply is present at the display board. If low or unstable, the main board regulator may be failing.
- Replace display board: If supply is stable but LEDs remain dim or flicker, replace the front display/LED board.
While dim LEDs may not affect charging, they hinder status visibility and should be corrected.
