How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: This is an internal electronics issue; no high-voltage work is typically required by the user.
- Soft reset: Use the front panel or app to perform a soft reset or factory reset if available. Note that this may erase custom settings such as current limits or Wi-Fi credentials.
- Power-cycle: Turn off the breaker for 2–3 minutes, then restore power. Sometimes the charger will rebuild default configuration on restart.
- Reapply configuration: Using the Audi app or installer interface, re-enter installation parameters (supply type, max current, load management settings) and save them.
- Firmware reflash: If supported, perform a firmware reinstallation via the official Audi service tool or app. Follow instructions carefully and do not interrupt power during the process.
- Board replacement: If E12 persists after firmware and reset attempts, the memory IC or microcontroller on the main control board is likely defective. Replace the main control board.
