How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Overheating can cause fire. Stop using the charger until the cause is identified.
- Stop charging: Immediately end the charging session and allow the charger and cable to cool.
- Inspect connector: Look for discoloration, warping, or melting around the plug. Replace the connector or cable if any damage is found.
- Check internal terminals: With power off, open the charger and tighten all line, neutral, and ground terminals to the specified torque.
- Verify wiring size: Confirm that the supply wiring gauge matches Autel’s installation manual for the configured current.
- Improve ventilation: Ensure the charger has adequate clearance and is not enclosed in a small, unventilated cabinet.
