Charger displays E002 and refuses to start; vehicle may show 'Charging Error' or 'Check Power Source'.

Safety first: Do not repeatedly reset a charger that is tripping on ground fault. This may indicate a real shock hazard.

• Inspect for moisture: Check the connector and cable for signs of water, condensation, or dirt. If wet, disconnect from vehicle, power down the charger, and allow it to dry completely in a warm, ventilated area for at least 24 hours.
• Check for physical damage: Look for cuts, abrasions, or crushed sections of the cable. If copper conductors are visible or the jacket is deeply damaged, replace the cable assembly.
• Try another vehicle / outlet: If possible, test the charger with a different EV. If E002 only occurs with one vehicle, the vehicle’s onboard charger may be leaking current to ground and needs service.
• Internal inspection (qualified persons only): With power off and locked out, open the charger housing and inspect the residual current monitoring (RCM) module and wiring for burn marks or loose connections. Tighten terminals to manufacturer torque specs.
• Reset and monitor: Restore power, clear the error via the Autel app or front panel, and start a low-current session. If E002 reappears immediately, the internal RCD/RCM module or main control board likely needs replacement by a professional.
