Possible Causes
Open ground in supply circuit, Loose PE terminal inside charger, Corroded ground bar in distribution panel, Faulty ground continuity sensor on main board
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: A missing or poor ground is dangerous. Do not bypass the ground connection.
- Check supply receptacle or terminals: Turn off the breaker. For plug-in models, inspect the wall outlet for a secure earth/ground connection. For hardwired units, remove the front cover and verify the PE (protective earth) conductor is firmly secured in the terminal block.
- Test ground continuity: Using a multimeter (only if you are trained), verify continuity between the charger’s ground terminal and the main service ground bar. High resistance or open circuit indicates a wiring issue that must be corrected by an electrician.
- Inspect internal PE wiring: Ensure the green/yellow ground wire from the terminal block to the chassis and to the main control board ground lug is intact and tight.
- Panel inspection: Have a licensed electrician inspect the distribution panel for loose or corroded ground/neutral bars and correct any wiring defects.
- Reset and test: After correcting any wiring issues, restore power and clear E003 via the interface. If the error persists with verified good grounding, the ground sensing circuit on the main control board may be defective and require replacement.
