Possible Causes
Supply voltage below rated range, Undersized wiring causing voltage drop, Loose line terminals, Overloaded circuit or long cable run
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn off power before tightening any terminals.
- Check breaker and wiring size: Confirm the circuit breaker and wire gauge meet Autel’s installation requirements for the charger’s maximum current rating.
- Measure voltage under load: Have an electrician measure voltage at the charger while another high-load device is running on the same circuit. Significant drop indicates undersized wiring or overloaded circuit.
- Tighten terminals: With power off, inspect and tighten line and neutral (if present) terminals at the charger and in the panel to the specified torque.
- Reduce load: Temporarily reduce the charger’s maximum current setting via the Autel app or front panel and test again. If E005 disappears at lower current, the supply may be marginal.
- Correct wiring issues: If undervoltage persists, have an electrician upgrade the circuit wiring or move the charger to a more stable supply.
