Possible Causes
Jammed mechanical lock pin, Failed lock actuator motor, Broken lock position sensor, Misaligned connector holster or latch
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Ensure charging has stopped and power is off before working near the connector lock mechanism.
- Inspect connector and holster: Check for foreign objects, ice, or debris around the connector lock area. Gently clear any obstructions.
- Manually test movement: With power off, gently move the lock mechanism (if accessible) to verify it is not seized. Do not force it.
- Check wiring to lock actuator: Open the housing (qualified only) and inspect the small harness leading to the lock motor and position sensor. Reseat connectors and look for pinched wires.
- Lubricate lightly: Apply a small amount of plastic-safe lubricant to the lock pin and sliding surfaces if they appear dry or sticky.
- Replace lock assembly if needed: If the actuator does not move during lock/unlock commands after wiring checks, replace the connector lock actuator assembly with an Autel-approved part.
