Possible Causes

Blocked ventilation openings, Failed internal cooling fan, High ambient temperature exceeding spec, Poor wall mounting causing heat buildup, Faulty temperature sensor on main board or heatsink

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Turn OFF power before removing covers. Overheated components can cause burns.

  • 1. Check installation environment: Ensure the Besenergy charger has the required clearance around vents (typically several inches on all sides). Remove any obstructions and avoid direct sunlight if possible.
  • 2. Clean vents: Use a vacuum or compressed air (low pressure) to remove dust and debris from intake and exhaust vents. Do not spray liquids into the charger.
  • 3. Verify fan operation: With the cover on and power restored, start a charging session and listen for the internal fan. If no fan noise is heard or it sounds rough, the fan may be seized or failing.
  • 4. Replace cooling fan (qualified only): With power OFF and cover removed, locate the internal cooling fan connected to the heatsink or enclosure. Check its connector and wiring. If the fan does not spin freely by hand or shows signs of damage, replace it with the correct Besenergy-specified fan.
  • 5. Temperature sensor check: If the fan runs normally and vents are clear but E08 persists even when the unit is cool to the touch, the temperature sensor (often attached to the heatsink or board) may be faulty. Replace the sensor or main control board as per parts availability.

When to call a professional: For internal fan or sensor replacement, or if overheating recurs, contact a qualified technician.
