Display shows E13; charger may start then immediately stop charging.

Safety first: Turn OFF the breaker immediately. Do not attempt to restart until the fault is found.

• 1. Inspect connector and cable: Look for burn marks, melted plastic, or obvious damage on the J1772 connector and along the cable. If present, replace the entire output cable assembly.
• 2. Check for moisture: If the connector has been exposed to heavy rain or washing, water may have entered. Allow it to dry thoroughly for at least 24 hours in a dry environment.
• 3. Test without vehicle: With power OFF, disconnect the output cable from the main board (if possible) and check for continuity between the two power conductors. Any continuity indicates a shorted cable that must be replaced.
• 4. Internal inspection (qualified): Inspect the output terminals and surrounding board area for signs of arcing or carbon tracking. Clean minor carbonization with isopropyl alcohol; replace any burnt components or boards.
• 5. Vehicle check: If the charger tests fine with no cable connected but E13 occurs only when plugged into a specific vehicle, the vehicle inlet or onboard charger may be shorted. Do not use that vehicle with the charger until inspected by the vehicle manufacturer.
