Possible Causes
Failed RFID reader module, Damaged RFID antenna, Loose connection between RFID board and main board, Corrupted access control configuration
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn OFF power before opening the charger. External RFID card tests can be done with power on.
- 1. Test multiple cards: Try more than one authorized RFID card or fob. If none are recognized, the reader or configuration is suspect.
- 2. Check for obstructions: Ensure no metal plates or stickers are covering the RFID reader area on the front panel, as these can block signals.
- 3. Reset access control: Using the Besenergy app or service menu, reset the RFID/access control settings to default and re-enroll cards following the manual.
- 4. Internal inspection (qualified): With power OFF, open the charger and locate the RFID reader board and antenna (often near the front panel). Verify the harness to the main board is secure and the antenna is not damaged.
- 5. Replace RFID module: If the reader shows no activity and E16 persists after reset, replace the RFID reader module or front panel assembly as per Besenergy parts list.
When to call a professional: For module replacement or configuration issues, contact Besenergy support or a technician.
