Possible Causes
Aging or failed LCD backlight, Loose display ribbon cable, Low-voltage supply sag to display, Moisture damage to front panel
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn off power before removing the front cover or display module.
Steps to troubleshoot:
- Check for moisture: Look for condensation or water marks inside the display window. Address any enclosure sealing issues.
- Reseat ribbon cable: Gently disconnect and reconnect the display ribbon cable at both ends to ensure a solid connection.
- Inspect for damage: Look for cracks in the LCD or signs of impact.
If the display remains dim or unreadable after reseating and drying, replace the Blink LCD/touchscreen display module. If a new display behaves the same, the main control board’s display power output may be faulty.
