Possible Causes
Failed internal kWh meter module, Loose CT or voltage sense wiring, Corrupted calibration data, Faulty metering IC on main control board
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn off power before accessing internal metering components.
Steps to troubleshoot:
- Check meter connections: Locate the internal meter or CTs and verify that all plug-in connectors are fully seated.
- Inspect CT orientation: Ensure current transformers are correctly oriented on the conductors and have not shifted.
- Firmware/configuration: For networked units, verify meter configuration via the Blink management interface and apply any firmware updates.
- Compare readings: If possible, compare Blink’s reported current/energy with an external clamp meter to confirm metering error.
Persistent E19 usually requires replacement of the metering module or main control board. This should be done by an EVSE technician.
