How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: No high-voltage work is required.
- Check internet access: Verify that other devices on the same network can reach the internet.
- Router configuration: Ensure that the router is not blocking outbound connections or specific ports used by BMW services. Temporarily disable strict firewall rules to test.
- Re-pair Wallbox: Remove and re-add the Wallbox in the BMW Charging app, following the pairing procedure.
- Firmware update: If possible, update firmware via USB or local interface if cloud update is not working.
If connectivity remains unavailable while local charging works, the communication module may be defective and should be replaced by a BMW service partner.
