Possible Causes

Tripped upstream circuit breaker or RCD, Loose or disconnected supply wiring at BMW Wallbox terminal block, Failed internal low-voltage power supply, Blown internal fuse on control board

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Work on mains circuits only if you are qualified. Always turn off the main breaker before opening any panel.

  • Check breakers: Inspect your distribution board for a tripped breaker or RCD feeding the BMW Wallbox. Reset once after confirming there is no visible damage or burning smell at the Wallbox.
  • Test outlet / feed: Have an electrician verify that voltage is present at the Wallbox feed terminals.
  • Inspect internal connections: With power off, remove the Wallbox front cover if allowed by the manual and check that all supply conductors are firmly connected.
  • Look for internal fuse: Some BMW Wallbox models include an internal low-voltage fuse. If accessible and blown, replace only with the exact same type and rating.

If supply voltage is present and connections are secure but the Wallbox remains dead, the internal power supply or control board has likely failed and must be replaced by a BMW-authorized technician.
