Possible Causes
Tripped upstream breaker or RCD, Loose supply wiring at BYD charger input, Blown internal fuse on control power supply, Failed low-voltage power supply module on main PCB
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Work on supply wiring only with power off and by a qualified person.
- Check upstream protection: Verify the dedicated breaker and any RCD feeding the BYD charger are in the ON position and not tripped.
- Test another load: If possible, have an electrician temporarily connect a test lamp or meter at the charger input to confirm voltage is present.
- Inspect input terminals: With power off, check that line, neutral, and earth are securely clamped in the charger’s input block.
- Look for internal fuse: A technician can open the unit and check any internal fuses on the control power supply; replace only with identical ratings.
- If supply is good but still dead: The internal low-voltage power supply or main control PCB is likely faulty and must be replaced.
