Possible Causes
Open or shorted current transformer (CT) on main supply, CT installed backwards or on wrong conductor, Loose CT wiring to BYD charger, Faulty load management module on main PCB
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: CTs are installed on live mains; only an electrician should handle them. Turn off power before any work.
- Check app configuration: Ensure dynamic load management is enabled only if CTs are installed and configured correctly in the BYD app.
- Inspect CT installation: An electrician should verify that the CT is clamped around the correct conductor and oriented according to the arrow marking.
- Check CT wiring: Confirm that CT leads are firmly connected to the BYD charger’s CT input terminals and not swapped.
- Test without load management: Temporarily disable load management in settings (if allowed) to see if charging resumes normally.
- Replace CT or module: If wiring and configuration are correct but E15 persists, replace the CT sensor or load management module.
