Possible Causes

Blocked ventilation around charger enclosure, High ambient temperature exceeding design limits, Failed internal cooling fan (if equipped), Faulty temperature sensor on power board

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Turn OFF the breaker and allow the charger to cool if the enclosure feels hot to the touch.

Steps to try:

  • Improve airflow: Ensure there is clear space around the charger (typically at least 6 in / 150 mm on all sides) and that it is not enclosed in a small, unventilated cabinet.
  • Check for direct sun: If the charger is outdoors, consider shading it from direct afternoon sun, which can raise internal temperatures.
  • Cool-down reset: Leave the breaker OFF for 20–30 minutes, then turn it ON and attempt charging again.

When to call a technician: If E07 recurs even in moderate temperatures and with good ventilation, the internal temperature sensor or cooling fan (if present) may have failed. A technician should open the unit, test the sensor, and replace the power board or fan as required.
