How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Warning: Drawing more current than the circuit is rated for is hazardous.
- Step 1 – Verify settings:
- In the ChargePoint app, confirm the maximum current is set correctly for your circuit.
- Step 2 – Cross-check measurement:
- Use a clamp meter on one line conductor to verify actual current draw.
- Step 3 – Firmware update:
- Update charger firmware to the latest version.
- Step 4 – Sensor check (qualified):
- Inspect the current transformer (CT) for proper placement and secure wiring to the main board.
- Step 5 – Replace CT or main board:
- If control remains inaccurate, replace the CT and, if needed, the main control board.
