Possible Causes
Incorrect time zone in app, Loss of internet preventing NTP sync, Faulty real-time clock (RTC) on main board, Dead RTC backup battery (if used)
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Note: This affects scheduled charging and reporting, not basic charging.
- Step 1 – Verify time settings:
- Open the ChargePoint app and confirm your time zone and schedule settings.
- Step 2 – Restore connectivity:
- Ensure the charger is online via Wi-Fi or cellular so it can sync time.
- Step 3 – Disable and re-enable schedules:
- Turn off scheduled charging in the app, then re-enable and reconfigure it.
- Step 4 – Power cycle:
- Turn OFF the breaker for 1 minute, then turn it back ON.
- Allow the charger to reconnect and sync time.
- Step 5 – Hardware RTC fault:
- If time drifts significantly whenever power is lost, the RTC circuit on the main board may be defective.
- Replace the main control board if accurate timekeeping is required.
