How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Warning: A compromised enclosure can allow water ingress and contact with live parts.
- Step 1 – De-energize if severe:
- If internal parts are exposed, turn OFF the breaker immediately.
- Step 2 – Assess damage:
- Check whether the door can still seal and latch properly.
- Step 3 – Temporary protection:
- If power must remain on temporarily, cover the unit with a weatherproof shield that does not trap heat, but plan for prompt repair.
- Step 4 – Replace enclosure parts:
- Order and install a replacement front cover / enclosure shell compatible with your ChargePoint model.
- Step 5 – Verify gasket and seal:
- Ensure all gaskets are properly seated to restore the original IP rating.
