How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Danger: Water inside an energized charger is a serious shock hazard. Do not use the charger until it is dry and sealed.
- Step 1 – De-energize:
- Turn OFF the breaker immediately.
- Step 2 – Open and dry:
- Remove the front cover.
- Carefully dry visible water with absorbent cloths.
- Allow the unit to air dry for at least 24 hours in a warm, dry environment.
- Step 3 – Inspect for damage:
- Check the main control board, GFCI module, and wiring for corrosion or burn marks.
- Replace any components with visible damage.
- Step 4 – Reseal enclosure:
- Inspect door gaskets, cable glands, and conduit entries.
- Replace damaged gaskets and properly tighten glands.
- Seal unused knockouts with appropriate plugs.
- Step 5 – Test after drying:
- Reassemble, restore power, and monitor for errors.
- If faults persist, the main control board may need replacement.
