How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Do not attempt to bypass safety checks. The charger is indicating a potentially unsafe condition.
- Step 1 – Power cycle: Turn OFF the breaker for 10 minutes, then turn it back ON. Observe if E13 returns immediately.
- Step 2 – Check installation: Verify that the charger is wired exactly as specified in the Chevrolet installation guide, with correct breaker size, wire gauge, and grounding.
- Step 3 – Environmental check: Excessive moisture, dust, or insects inside the enclosure can interfere with self-tests. Inspect and gently clean with power OFF.
- Step 4 – Do not open sealed modules: Internal safety modules are not user-serviceable. If E13 persists, the charger should be serviced or replaced under warranty.
