Possible Causes
Loose ribbon cable between UI panel and main board, Failed display/touch module, Firmware crash in UI microcontroller, Moisture ingress into front panel
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn OFF power before removing the front panel.
- Step 1 – Power reset: Turn OFF the breaker for 2–3 minutes, then turn it back ON. Many UI faults clear after a full reboot.
- Step 2 – Inspect front panel: Check for cracks, water marks, or condensation inside the display window. If water is present, do not use the charger until fully dried and inspected.
- Step 3 – Reseat ribbon cable: With power OFF, carefully remove the front panel and reseat the ribbon or plug-in cable connecting it to the main PCB.
- Step 4 – App control: If the UI remains faulty but the charger still connects to the app, you may temporarily control charging via the app while arranging panel replacement.
- Step 5 – Replace UI module: A failed display/touch module must be replaced with the correct Chevrolet charger front panel assembly.
