Possible Causes

Intermittent supply voltage, Loose breaker or panel connection, Undersized wiring causing voltage sag, Shared circuit with large inductive loads

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Only a qualified electrician should work inside the service panel. Turn OFF the breaker before opening the EVSE.

  • Observe pattern: Note whether the POWER LED blinks continuously or only when a vehicle is connected.
  • Check breaker and wiring: Ensure the EVSE is on a dedicated circuit of the correct amperage. Inspect for signs of overheating at the breaker and EVSE input lugs.
  • Measure voltage under load: With a meter and qualified person, measure line voltage at the EVSE while another heavy load (e.g., HVAC) starts. Large dips indicate wiring or service capacity issues.
  • Correct wiring: If undersized conductors or shared circuits are found, have an electrician rewire the EVSE to a dedicated, properly sized circuit.

Do not continue using the EVSE on an unstable or undersized circuit; this can damage both the charger and the vehicle.
