Possible Causes
Failed Wi‑Fi/Bluetooth module, Loose communication daughterboard, Corrupted firmware on communication board, Antenna cable disconnected
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Communication circuits are low voltage, but always turn off power before removing covers to avoid accidental contact with mains.
- Step 1 – Reboot: Turn the breaker OFF for 2 minutes, then ON. Wait for the charger to fully boot and check if E10 clears.
- Step 2 – Network reset: Use the front panel or app instructions to perform a network reset (if accessible). Reconfigure Wi‑Fi credentials.
- Step 3 – Inspect communication board: With power OFF, open the enclosure and locate the communication module (often a small daughterboard). Ensure it is firmly seated in its header and that any antenna leads are connected.
- Step 4 – Firmware update: If the charger briefly connects, use the Electrify America app to check for and apply firmware updates.
- Step 5 – Replace module: If the communication board shows signs of damage or remains non‑functional, replace it with the Electrify America‑specified communication module.
