Possible Causes
Faulty internal current transformer, Loose current sensor harness, Firmware bug in metering logic, Magnetic interference near sensors
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn off power before accessing internal components.
- Step 1 – Compare readings: Compare the "Electrify Home" charger’s reported kWh with the vehicle’s reported energy for a full session.
- Step 2 – Firmware update: Install the latest firmware to correct any known metering issues.
- Step 3 – Inspect CT harness: With power OFF, open the unit and ensure the current transformer harness is securely connected to the main control board.
- Step 4 – Avoid interference: Ensure no strong magnetic fields (large motors, transformers) are installed immediately adjacent to the charger.
- Step 5 – Replace CT or board: If metering remains inaccurate, the current sensor or main control board may need replacement.
