Possible Causes
Blocked ventilation openings, Failed internal cooling fan, High ambient temperature exceeding rating, Faulty temperature sensor on power module
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn off power before removing covers or cleaning internal components.
- Step 1 – Check ambient conditions: Ensure the "Electrify Home" charger is not installed in direct sun, near a heat source, or inside a small unventilated cabinet. Ambient temperature should be within the specified range.
- Step 2 – Inspect vents: Look for dust, spider webs, or debris blocking the top, bottom, or side ventilation slots. Clean with a soft brush or vacuum. Do not spray water or cleaners into the unit.
- Step 3 – Verify fan operation: During a charge session, listen for the internal cooling fan. If the fan does not run when the unit is warm, turn off power, remove the cover, and check that the fan connector is firmly seated on the main control or power board.
- Step 4 – Clean internal dust: With power OFF, gently blow out dust using dry compressed air, keeping the nozzle at a distance to avoid damaging components.
- Step 5 – Persistent overheat: If E07 recurs even with good airflow and a working fan, the temperature sensor or power module may be failing and should be evaluated by a technician.
