Possible Causes
Loose ribbon cable between display board and main control board, Failed LCD or LED display module, Corroded connector pins, Firmware mismatch between UI board and main board
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn off the breaker before removing the front cover or display panel.
- Step 1 – Power cycle: Turn the breaker OFF for 2 minutes, then ON. Observe if the display initializes correctly.
- Step 2 – Reseat ribbon cable: With power OFF, remove the front cover and carefully disconnect and reconnect the flat ribbon cable or harness between the display/user interface board and the main control board.
- Step 3 – Inspect for moisture: Look for signs of condensation or water ingress around the display window. Dry thoroughly and improve weather sealing if needed.
- Step 4 – Firmware alignment: If the charger supports separate UI firmware, update both main and UI firmware to the latest compatible versions.
- Step 5 – Replace display board: If E15 persists and the display remains unstable, the user interface board may need replacement.
