How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Persistent buzzing can indicate arcing. Turn OFF power if noise is accompanied by smell or visible arcing.
- Step 1 – Identify source: With the cover on and charger running, listen to locate the general area of the noise (top, bottom, left, right).
- Step 2 – Internal inspection: With power OFF and cover removed, check that the main contactor and any transformers/inductors are firmly mounted and that mounting screws are tight.
- Step 3 – Check for damage: Look for burn marks or melted plastic around the noisy component.
- Step 4 – Replace noisy parts: Replace a chattering or buzzing main contactor or power module as needed.
