Possible Causes
Faulty LCD/OLED display module, Damaged front panel ribbon cable, HMI firmware mismatch, Liquid ingress into front panel
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Turn OFF power before removing the front panel.
- Step 1 – App status: Check the Enel X app to see if the charger is otherwise online and reporting status correctly. If only the display is faulty, charging may still be possible via the app.
- Step 2 – Visual inspection: Look for cracks, condensation, or damage on the front display panel.
- Step 3 – Internal cable check: With power OFF, remove the front panel and inspect the ribbon cable between the display and main control board. Reseat both ends.
- Step 4 – Firmware update: Update firmware via the app to ensure HMI and main board are synchronized.
- Resolution: Replace the display/HMI module if it remains blank or garbled. If E23 persists with a new display, the main control board may be defective.
