Possible Causes
Moisture ingress in cable or connector, Damaged insulation on output wiring, Contamination inside charger, Faulty isolation monitoring circuit
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: An isolation fault can present a shock hazard. Turn OFF power and do not use the charger until inspected.
- Step 1 – Inspect for moisture: Check the connector, cable entry, and bottom of the enclosure for signs of water ingress or condensation.
- Step 2 – Dry thoroughly: If moisture is present, dry the area completely and improve weatherproofing (gaskets, cable glands).
- Step 3 – Cable inspection: Look for cuts, abrasions, or crushed sections on the output cable that could expose conductors.
- Step 4 – Internal wiring check: With power OFF, inspect output wiring from the contactor to the cable for damaged insulation or loose strands touching the enclosure.
- Resolution: Replace any damaged output wiring or cable assembly. If wiring is sound but E24 persists, the isolation monitoring circuit on the main control board may be faulty.
