Possible Causes
Disconnected or reversed CT clamps on service conductors, Damaged CT cable to charger, Incorrect CT configuration in app, Failed CT input on charger control board
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Shock hazard: CTs are installed around live service conductors. Only a qualified electrician should adjust them.
- Check configuration: In the Enphase app, verify that load management or solar tracking is configured correctly and that CTs are enabled only if physically installed.
- Visual inspection (electrician): Confirm CT clamps are fully closed around the correct conductors and oriented according to the arrows on the CT body.
- Check CT cable: Inspect the low-voltage CT cable from the service panel to the charger for cuts, staples through the cable, or loose terminations.
- Disable load management (temporary): If allowed by the app, disable CT-based load management to restore basic charging while scheduling service.
- Service: Replace damaged CTs or repair wiring. If CT inputs on the control board are unresponsive, the board must be replaced.
