Possible Causes

How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Immediately stop using the charger. Turn off the breaker and, if safe, unplug the vehicle. Do not re‑energize until fully inspected.
- Allow to cool: Wait until the charger has completely cooled before opening the enclosure.
- Inspect for damage: Look for charred components, melted plastic, or soot deposits on the contactor, terminals, and PCB.
- Identify root cause: Determine whether the damage originated at a loose terminal, within the contactor, or on the PCB.
- Replace damaged parts: Replace any burnt contactor, wiring, terminal blocks, or PCB with EO‑approved parts. Do not attempt to clean and reuse severely heat‑damaged components.
- Professional testing: After repair, have a qualified electrician perform full functional and safety tests (insulation resistance, earth continuity, RCD operation) before returning the charger to service.
