Possible Causes

Incorrect pilot duty cycle configuration, Vehicle charge timer or schedule active, Dirty or worn Type 2 connector pins, Weak contact in vehicle inlet or EO socket

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Do not attempt to modify internal settings beyond those documented by EO. Isolate power before cleaning connectors.

  • Check vehicle settings: Ensure the EV is not set to delay charging or limit current. Disable any scheduled charging and try again.
  • Unplug and replug: Fully remove the Type 2 connector from the vehicle and charger, wait 10 seconds, and reconnect firmly until you hear/feel the latch engage.
  • Inspect and clean pins: Examine the Type 2 plug and vehicle inlet for dirt or oxidation. Clean gently with a soft, dry brush or contact cleaner.
  • Test with another EV or cable: If possible, try a different vehicle or cable to isolate whether the issue is with the charger, cable, or vehicle.
  • Check configuration: In the EO app, verify that the charger is not set to a very low current limit that the vehicle may ignore (e.g., below 6 A).
