Possible Causes
Faulty RFID reader module, Damaged or disconnected RFID antenna, Corrupted user authorization data, Communication failure between RFID module and main PCB
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Isolate power before opening the enclosure. Authentication faults do not usually present an electrical hazard but still follow standard safety procedures.
- Test with multiple tags/cards: If your EO charger uses RFID, try several known‑good RFID cards or fobs. If none are recognized, the issue is likely with the reader or its connection.
- Check app configuration: In the EO app or management portal, verify that RFID mode is enabled (if applicable) and that your cards are correctly registered to the charger.
- Inspect RFID module and antenna: With power off, locate the RFID reader board and antenna (often behind the front fascia). Ensure the antenna cable is firmly connected and not pinched or damaged.
- Reseat communication cable: Reseat any low‑voltage cable between the RFID module and the main PCB. Look for bent pins or corrosion on connectors.
- Firmware sync: Ensure the charger firmware and backend system are up to date. In some cases, a cloud sync or firmware update resolves authentication mismatches.
- Replace RFID module if necessary: If configuration is correct and physical connections are sound but E11 persists, replace the RFID reader module with an EO‑approved part.
